Castril is a beautiful mountain village with its rock which conserves vestiges of the old medieval fortress. In the old town there is a charming atmosphere with its narrow inclined streets and its traditional houses whose impressive state of conservation has caused it to be catalogued as a unit of artistic and historical interest.
The biggest attraction of the area is on the outside in the Sierra de Castril Mountains. Its exceptional natural value won it the Natural Park of the year award in 1987, which was largely due to its flowing river.
There are only a few municipalities that are able to be nominated Natural Park, Natural monument and Historical group and can offer so many picturesque corners and unforgettable walks to the tourist.
