Baeza is a Spanish municipality and the capital city of the municipality with the same name. It is to be found at the geographical centre of the province of Jaen (at the northwest of the Autonomous Community) situated in the locality of the Loma of which it is considered the capital.
It is currently known for its olive production, its abundant heritage of monuments (having been declared Partimony of Humanity by the UNESCO in July 2003) and for being a university city since the XVI century, housing today one of the centres of the Andalucia International University.
